BACK AGAIN, A LONG TIME BETWEEN POSTS!

Very much a long time between posts ....
We have had Summer...
We have had Autumn....
We have had THE ROYAL WEDDING!!!1
I have crocheted several toys...
Knitted a baby blanket....
Lots of baby beanies for the Christchurch babies, more necessary now than even before...you might like to see Kate's blog from May 23 Kate at Greedy For Colour for more information on our 'little hats for little heads' if you would like to make for these babies and children as well. Kate has made some gorgeous booties, beanies too and a blanket. Anything bright and pretty and WARM. Poor sad, lovely Christchurch
We have had a new gorgeous baby in the family and another due in the next fortnight or so.
I know the Wedding is well and truly over, you have all written about it but I just want to add my bit. My guests cam for afternoon tea,, hats and jeans to be worn. We had scones and sponge cake and laughed for about 3 hours straight, even before we opened the champagne. I had a photo of Will and Kate in a frame [from a magazine] on the television which was on for the afternoon and of course to the finish when every-one had gone home. One girl came in her fur, not shown in the photo. My English friend, here for over 30 years, cut down an Australian flag to get the Union Jack which she attached to a stick of some sort and wore down the back of her jeans for the whole afternoon, quite dangerously so for the rest of us!! I have to say, the lovely girl with the dress on the right of the picture with the glamorous roses.....The roses were real, huge and scented! Not pretend as I first thought!
We have said goodbye to Kate today so I am having a very flat day, after having shed a few tears on the way home from the airport this morning. I hate goodbyes and seem to hate them more as time goes by. Still, we have had a wonderful time together, as well well as with her sisters and their families. We also had a bonus few days thanks to the ash cloud over NZ. The house needs to be cleaned, dust everywhere, haven't had any walks, been in the garden but we have talked and knitted and crocheted and talked and eaten....I have been spoilt with meals being cooked for me. Cups of tea in bed in the mornings, family coming and going.

And sometimes I have felt like this visitor!
