Hope you've all had a good weekend. We have, a quiet one, always good for us.
It has been Fathers' Day here and the father in this house has had a good day. Early family phone calls and then a cup of tea with family locally. They have all been sick with the nasty flu that has been going around so we have kept our distance. It was lovely to see them and of course the little ones made a big fuss over their Pa, three of them wanting to sit on his knee and be as close as possible to the chocolates they had given him! Which he of course shared with them all! I was amused at the 3 1/2 year old who said to me on the phone,'it's Pa's birthday today,' 'No, it is Fathers'Day,' I said, to which he replied, 'Well, it is Dad's Fathers'Day too!'
Love it all. Love me. xxooxx.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen reindeer like that. You could use them year-round. The branches/vines and the flowers are so unusual, but make them unique! Was the entire shop like that, or was it just the store window? I like how Father's Day is not so close to Mother's Day, as it is here in America. I think the fathers here don't get enough of a nice day, seeing mothers sort of stole the show just a few weeks before! Hope you have a wonderful week.

It was a gift shop, sadly it was closed and I could only try to peak around the reindeer to see what else there was! They are rather lovely aren't they. We are bound to have a good week with Kate arriving on Tuesday, exciting for all the family, especially me I'm sure!
DeleteHave tons of fun with Kate! She is such a talented lady!

Yikes! Christmas decorations already! I do love Christmas, but early September is a teeny bit early even for me! X
ReplyDeleteOoh would love one of those for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteIt does seem as though it will be creeping up quickly soon enough...perhaps Lucy you would like one hanging on your front door, would be very welcoming! xxx
